Doing your own old style crazy paving is very time consuming, but if you have the skills to do your own paving and want to try it, there's nothing to stop you having a crack at it, and you'll certainly gain satisfaction from making a garden patio for yourself, but be warned, badly laid and jointed crazy paving will only last for one winter before it fails and starts falling apart under your feet.
